Parkside Panthers welcome to the website!
The 8th Grade classes will learn about the Microwave Unit, Salad Unit ,Meal Appeal, Consumerism, Money Management ,Nutrients Unit, and the Wellness Unit.
The students will complete:
- Microwave Lab
- Salad Lab
- Dinner Lab
At the end of each unit the students will write a Journal on what they learned and enjoyed from their experiences. All grade levels are required to complete a Home Project.

Class Announcements Meal ManagementMarch 18, 2010, the 8th Graders will create a Fine Dining atmosphere in the Nutrition Labratory. The students will dress appropriately, and hopefully act accordingly.
Orientation ModuleStudents will learn how to record attendance and participation points.
Examine and identify some practical strategies for correctly answering each type of RCA question: research, challenge, and application. Students will learn the basics on how to navigate within the Agent. Identify how teamwork is required between Module partners. Examine each of the different Knowledge Survey components. Home ProjectFamily & Consumer Home Projects are due on March 16-18, 2010. The students will present their projects in front of the class.
